What is New & Changed in AutoPIPE® Vessel

CONNECT Edition v42 Update 2 (v42.02.00.009:2021-03)

The following outline identifies new features and enhancements in the CONNECT Edition v42 Update 2 of AutoPIPE Vessel v42.02.00.009.

These features are provided at no additional charge to promote awareness of a feature or technology to be deployed in a future release. Users are encouraged to provide feedback and suggestions. Enhancements

  • Codes/Standards Update
    • French Design Code CODAP 2020.
    • Russian Design Code (GOST R 52857 replaced by GOST 34233).
    • Russian Wind/Earthquake Code (GOST R 51273-99 replaced by GOST 34283).
  • Material Database
    • The Material Database Manager has been updated to allows users to update elastic moduli and thermal expansions by material group (instead of by individual materials). This facilitates fast and convenient property update(s).
    • The material database schema has been updated to version 3, with backward-compatibility to version 2.
    • Material Update: Elastic moduli, thermal expansions, material database updated for GOST 34283.
  • Calculation
    • Added tolerance and corrosion allowance on Support Skirts.

    • #1111266: Bundle Layout - Baffle cut issue
    • #1115961: Bundle Layout - The sealing strips and the partitions are overlapped in bundle layout
    • #1122145: U-Tube Heat Exchanger (reboiler) - default Baffle Type for Kettle Type is not correct
    • #1115456: Transition by head on heat exchanger doesn't retrieve the correct component when calculating opening

Subscription Entitlement Service (formerly CONNECT Licensing) features new behavior to enhance your organization's user administration and security with mandatory user sign-in via CONNECTION Client to access the application. If you are already signed in to the CONNECTION Client, you have met this prerequisite. If you have not, please refer to the Administrator's Resource Center and/or contact your administrator for assistance in the registration and sign-in process.

Installation Requirements

Access to the Internet required for product installation. The minimum system configuration for installation:

Operating System: 64 bit OS

Microsoft Windows 8 Professional or higher

* For x64 operating systems you must install the accessdatabaseengine x64 which Microsoft delivers with Office 2010. You can download this from Microsoft's website.

When installing the product through the installer program, the required components will be installed automatically. If, however, you extract the package and then later run the EasyMultiInstall.vbs or the msi file to install the product, the Desktop Prerequisite Pack v08.11.09.xx must be installed on your workstation prior to the product installation. The RealDwg2012.msi should be installed after the product is installed. The Desktop Prerequisite Pack is available from the Web downloads/MySELECT CD area of SELECTservices Online. The contents of the Desktop Prerequisite Pack include:

The minimum recommended workstation profile for running AutoPIPE Vessel is:

256 megabytes (Mb) of free (1) RAM minimum, 4096 Mb or more is preferred. AutoPIPE Vessel will utilize all available RAM. AutoPIPE Vessel performance is dependent on the size of the AutoPIPE Vessel model and the amount of available system resources.
(1) Free RAM refers to available RAM after all operating system processes have been loaded.

Hard Disk4 GB free disk space. 
Video Graphics Card

Any industry-standard video card which supports OpenGL 3D graphics.

Product Activation

Subscription Entitlement Service (formerly CONNECT Licensing) is Bentley's new licensing model, providing enhanced security and optimized value for your Bentley Subscriptions. It is integrated with Bentley's Identity Management System (IMS) and the Bentley CONNECT technology platform to allow near real-time reporting of usage, improved alert messaging to users and increased administrative capabilities to license administrators in your organization. It will not only give you more options to monitor and manage usage but also provide new, advanced licensing features that will enhance digital workflows.

Activation

With Subscription Entitlement Service (formerly CONNECT Licensing), all users must be registered with Bentley's Identity Management System (IMS) and sign in to the CONNECTION Client to access Bentley applications. Product activation will now occur through user sign-in to the CONNECTION Client with a valid IMS ID associated with their account. User sign-in will replace traditional activation keys, offering enhanced security as administrators will be able to control which users have access to Bentley software. License entitlements are granted and maintained through Subscription Entitlement Service's Entitlement Management Service. By signing into the CONNECTION Client users can also find their organization's projects, download software updates, receive relevant notifications, and track their usage.

Alerts

Subscription Entitlement Service (formerly CONNECT Licensing) features the new license alerts notifications that can be set by an organization's license administrators to let the users know when they reach a set usage threshold. These notifications will alert the users that if they continue to use the product, a term license may be issued. The user in such a situation has the choice to quit the application before a license is used or acknowledge that a term license may be generated and proceed with starting the application, based on what settings the administrator chooses.
